MEES Reports

A MEES report is a Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards Report. The purpose of this report is to identify the most cost effective measures that a landlord can implement to do so.

It was first introduced as part of the government’s minimum energy efficiency standards for domestic properties in 2018.

A Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) report gives landlords insights and useful information when they are seeking to improve the rating of their property or properties.

It provides the areas which can be improved which will lead to an improvement in the EPC rating. 

This can help tenants lower bills and have more comfortable living conditions. Also government legislation may require landlords to have a higher EPC rating the the current E rating at any time.  Legislation has already been postponed several time with many people thinking it’s only a matter of time before they are raised.
